The Journeyman Phase
Triform’s Youth Guidance Program is a transitional program. Most young adults graduating from the program move on to one of the adult life sharing communities or to another residential/vocational option. Occasionally a young adult, upon completion of the Student and Apprentice program, may be uniquely suited to transition to the adult phase of Triform’s program.
This small group of women and men, referred to as Journeymen, continue to work and live as active members of the community and often serve as models or mentors for entering young adults. These men and women, along with their families, are interested in making a significant long-term commitment to Triform.
Because the Journeyman phase is not appropriate for each young person who has graduated from the Student and Apprentice program and because the number of Journeymen positions is very limited, young adults and families entering Triform do so with the understanding and expectation that it is a transitional program from which it is most likely that the young person will graduate and move on from Triform to the next stage of their life’s journey.
