Further education is provided both for short and long-term co-workers. The formal training programs described below are augmented by professional development seminars, conferences and workshops that focus on one or more aspects of community life, on-going work in art and movement and anthroposophical life.
Orientation Course
Where: offered in Triform
When: approximately one session per week
For: new co-workers
Study and discussion evenings on a variety of topics, including the nature of the human being, festivals in Camphill, history of the Bible evening, the individual life cycle, working with special needs, Anthroposophy & Christianity, the economics of Camphill.
Social Therapy Seminar (one, two or three years)
Where: offered in Camphill Village Copake
When: one full day per week, plus special courses and retreats
For: co-workers who stay a minimum of one year, and who have some prior experience or background in Camphill or Anthroposophy such as completion in a Foundation Year, Waldorf School training, etc.
Application & interview required before September to begin seminar year October – June.
Health and Safety Courses
Where: Offered in Triform and Camphill Village Copake
When: During various times of the year, as needed
Triform is certified by New York State to provide care for persons with special needs. As a result a number of courses are required in the areas of health and safety, including: CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, SCIP (behavioral and physical intervention techniques), fire safety, rights and abuse.
