Hudson, NY, — April 12, 2010—Triform Camphill Community, a residential and therapeutic community for young people with special needs located in Hudson, NY., will host a special benefit concert on Saturday, May 22nd 2010, at 3:00 pm at the Triform Phoenix Center located at 20 Triform Road, Hudson, NY. The program features the members of Philadelphia’s Philomel Baroque Chamber Ensemble and The Triform Bell Choir. This musical “banquet” will feature three nationally renowned performers of Philomel Baroque – Bruce Bekker (Harpsichordist), Elissa Berardi (Baroque Flutist), and Nancy Wilson (Violinist). These virtuosic artists will bring the world of Baroque to the Triform campus with an innovative repertoire of music performed on period instruments—allowing the audience to experience the music much like it was originally performed in the 17th and 18th centuries. Supporting performances will also be given by Adele Wilson, a graduating opera student from the Manhattan School of Music, and the Triform Bell Choir under the direction of Akiko Suesada.
The program will be followed by a community reception with the performers. An assortment of Triform Marketplace items including products from the weavery, bakery and pottery studio will be on display and available for purchase.
Tickets are $75.00 per person and can be purchased by calling the Development office at Triform, 518-851-9320 x 11 or email Allison@triform.org.
